Donald Trump dishes up 'some red meat' to his 'anti-immigration supporters'

Donald Trump dishes up 'some red meat' to his 'anti-immigration supporters' Donald Trump has dished-up some "red meat" to his "anti-immigration" supporter base via a tweet, according to the Perth USAsia Centre’s Gordon Flake.

On Tuesday, President Trump had tweeted he will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States in a bid to stem the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Professor Flake said the Executive Order "is vague" and that "we don't know what countries it covers".

He also told Sky News there is a "difficulty discerning rumour from fact coming out of North Korea" amid a recent report the Communist leader Kim Jong Un is in “grave danger” after undergoing a cardiovascular surgery earlier this month.

CNN has reported US intelligence officials are monitoring the situation.

Professor Flake said the situation is one which obviously "merits watching" and is "something that is important".

He said the latest saga represents "another volatile development in an already volatile era".
