Originally, the Trump administration promised to get official national numbers out in “two to three days.” But that timeline has shifted since.

We know why the novel coronavirus is hitting the black community harder: decades of existing health disparities have caused black people to have more pre-existing conditions that make it worse.

So what can be done? One of the possible fixes could lie in the field of study that deals with "the social determinants of health."
