Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on the 14th of May, 1984, in White Plains, New York, United States. He and his three siblings were bred in a small Westchester County village, called Dobbs Ferry. His father was a dentist, while his mother worked as a psychiatrist. During his high school years, Mark was an outstanding student in his academics. He won multiple prizes in physics, astronomy, mathematics, as well as classical studies. Before he was admitted into high school, this smart boy had been using computers and writing software. This was possible due to his father's support. Mark's father taught him the basics of programming and also recruited a highly-competent software developer to tutor his son privately. Before graduating from high school, Mark took a course at Mercy College, not too far from his home. After completing this course, Mark was able to build software that enabled all the computers in the house to communicate with each other.
