How much of a threat is the new COVID-19 strain?

Dr Chaand Nagpaul of the British Medical Association speaks to Sophy Ridge about the "bleak picture" painted by the latest COVID-19 strain.

Overwhelmed doctors have described a "massive surge" in cases, with one-in-three saying the situation is more dire than the first coronavirus wave.

He described the government's U-turn on Christmas as "a right and necessary decision".
