Broadcaster Michael McLaren says Black Lives Matter is only “a very small bit” about improving the life of black people and a far larger part of their core has “nothing to do with improving anyone’s life, black, white or otherwise”. It comes as Australia's men's cricket team will acknowledge the global anti-racism protest movement by performing a barefoot circle ceremony before the first One Day International against India at the SCG on Friday, November 27.
“BLM, to use the acronym, is only a very small bit about improving the life of black people around the world.
“There’s a far bigger dossier that is their core and it’s got nothing to do with improving anyone’s life, black white or otherwise.
Sky News host Alan Jones added, “these young cricketers are good people. They have not been given the benefit of all the knowledge on which they would be capable of making a responsible decision.”
