How to Give a Presentation - Powerpoint Tips - Public Speaking Did you know that Public Speaking is the NUMBER ONE PHOBIA? That means, if you hate giving presentations, you’re NOT alone. But sharing the knowledge you’ve learned is an important part of being a great student. What’s more, when you enter the workforce, you’ll find it’s almost certainly going to be a part of your job.

In this video, we’ll share some great tips about giving great presentations.
First, consider what kind of presentation you’ll be giving, because the preparation will be different. The three main kinds of presentations are: 1) Roundtable discussions 2) Panel presentations 3) Solo talk (usually a powerpoint presentation).

If you’re in a big hurry, you can jump to different parts of the video for these three different types of presentations, but we do suggest you watch the whole thing because there’s a lot of good general advice in here!

Powerpoint (or Google Slides) is a great tool, but is often misused. We’ll spend some time talking about the common pitfalls, and give you tips for using this tool well, including how to simplify your slides down to the essential information.
