Searching for ways to do our part to address the urgent needs of medical professionals and first responders during COVID-19, Extra Space Storage has donated over 10,000 masks and is offering free storage space to hospitals and others fighting on the front lines during this crisis. After identifying that Extra Space Storage locations in hurricane-prone areas had N95 masks, we quickly made the decision to donate these masks to local hospitals that are desperately in need of them and restock our stores when the masks are not in high demand. After hearing from local hospitals that storage space could help the cause, Extra Space Storage is also offering two months of free self storage for hospitals and first responders so they can store non-essential supplies and equipment and make more room for COVID-19 patients.
After identifying ways that we could contribute, the decision to make these donations was clear and simple, and we hope this provides some relief to health care professionals and the communities they’re serving during this time.
